Each autumn California schools are required to report to the California Department of Public Health (CDPH) the status of their students under state immunization requirement laws.

Definitions

Kindergarten required immunizations include 5 or more DTP vaccines, 3 or more Polio vaccines, 2 or more Measles-containing vaccines, 3 or more Hepatitis B vaccines, 1 or more Varicella vaccines. 7th grade immunization assessments report on students who have received the tetanus, diphtheria and pertussis (Tdap) booster immunization.
